The product range of China's construction machinery industry is mainly divided into the general equipment manufacturing and special equipment manufacturing categories. In 1979, the State Planning Commission and the First Ministry of Machine Building jointly formulated the Seventh Five-Year Plan for the development of China's construction machinery industry, covering 18 major product categories. These 18 categories of construction machinery products have been consistently confirmed in subsequent national machinery industry plans, and the product range has remained unchanged.
These 18 categories include excavating machinery, earthmoving machinery, construction hoisting machinery, industrial vehicles, compaction machinery, piling machinery, concrete machinery, reinforcing steel and prestressed concrete machinery, decoration machinery, rock drilling machinery, pneumatic tools, railway track machinery, military construction machinery, elevators and escalators, and special-purpose parts for construction machinery.
