ESAB introduces MIG/MAG welding wires for the engineering machinery industry, including OK Aristorod 12.63 HP and OK Autrod 12.64 HP. These wires are designed to improve the welding performance of non-alloy and low-alloy carbon manganese steels, particularly suitable for engineering machinery and other applications requiring high strength and excellent low-temperature toughness. When used with C1, M20, and M21 shielding gases, the deposited metal yield strength reaches at least 500 MPa, and the impact toughness at -50°C is not less than 47 Joules.
The wires offer advantages such as easy parameter setting and fine-tuning, improved weld pool flowability, and significantly reduced spatter. The copper-free OK Aristorod wire can operate at higher currents for maximum productivity. The wires are available in 1.0 mm, 1.2 mm, and 1.4 mm diameters, and are packaged in 18 kg reels and 250 kg or 500 kg Marathon Pac™ drums.
