A vacuum suction truck, also called sewage vacuum truck or sludge suction tanker, is a widely used special sanitation vehicle. Many municipal service contractors, farm operators and site maintenance crews search for sewage tanker truck, waste suction vehicle and liquid sludge vacuum truck to learn how it works. Understanding its suction and discharge process helps with septic tank cleaning, pond sewage removal and sludge hauling tasks.https://www.hjtrailer.com/truck/tank-truck/septic-tank-vacuum-suction-truck.html
The whole operation relies on a vacuum pump to create negative pressure inside the tank. The pressure difference between atmospheric pressure and tank vacuum is the driving force. Main components include vacuum pump, sealed tank, water-gas separator, overfill check valve, suction hose, discharge valve and power take-off unit (PTO). The PTO draws power from the truck engine to drive the vacuum pump.
Suction phase: The vacuum pump removes air from the tank and creates negative pressure. Once the suction valve opens, atmospheric pressure pushes sewage, slurry, manure and sediment through the hose into the tank. The water-gas separator separates liquid waste from airflow, preventing liquid from entering and damaging the vacuum pump. The built-in anti-overflow float valve is an important safety part. When the tank is nearly full, the float rises and shuts the pipeline automatically, stopping waste from flowing backward into the pump.
Discharge phase: After suction finishes, close the suction valve and switch control mode. The pump feeds air into the tank to build positive pressure. Open the rear discharge gate, and the internal air pressure pushes the sewage and sludge mixture out. Some models can also unload by gravity.
To sum up: Negative pressure for suction, positive pressure for discharge. This truck is designed for liquid and semi-liquid sludge. Large solid hard debris should not be pumped, because solids may block hoses, scratch seals and damage the vacuum pump.
Our vacuum suction trucks support LHD and RHD customization. Tank capacity, vacuum pump type and hose diameter can be selected according to requirements. They fit municipal sanitation, farm waste treatment, construction sludge cleanup and sewer maintenance. Every tanker passes tank tightness and vacuum pressure testing before export, with complete inspection documents supplied.
