A concrete mixer truck, also called cement mixer truck, is a special heavy duty truck designed to transport fresh ready-mix concrete. It is equipped with a rotating mixing drum to keep concrete stirred continuously during transit and prevent solidification before pouring.
The mixing drum keeps rotating slowly all the way. It stops the concrete from settling, separating and hardening before arriving at the construction site. If the concrete loses fluidity, it cannot be poured normally.
